Currently (no login): We do not collect or store any personal data. Word lookups are cached anonymously (the word itself, no IP address or user identifier). Server access logs (IP address, timestamp) are stored temporarily by the hosting provider for security purposes.
With login (planned): When user accounts are introduced, we will process email address and a hashed password. This policy will be updated accordingly before that feature launches.
DeepSeek API (AI provider): Word lookup queries are forwarded to the DeepSeek API (DeepSeek, China) to generate analysis results. Only the entered word is transmitted — no personal data. DeepSeek's privacy policy applies: deepseek.com/privacy.
Microsoft Edge TTS: For text-to-speech (pronunciation), text is sent to Microsoft's Edge TTS service. Microsoft's privacy policy applies.
Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in providing the service). Once login is introduced, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract performance) will apply for account data.
Anonymous word caches are stored indefinitely to reduce API costs. Server logs are deleted after 30 days. No personal data is currently stored.

All word analysis results are generated by AI. They may contain errors. We are not liable for incorrect linguistic information.
